This week’s brand new list of Halo 4 Weekly Challenges is now live:
Matchmaking Update:
Quick announcement before we get to the Weekly Challenges: 343 is bringing back the “Action Sack” playlist this week. Just like in Halo 3, this playlist features fun, crazy non-traditional game modes.
Campaign Weekly Challenges
Oh, It’s on! (10000 XP): Complete any Campaign Mission on Heroic or higher difficulty with the Mythic, Tilt, Storm and Tough Luck skulls.
An insane XP reward for this insane challenge. Again, I recommend attempting this challenge on Dawn, the shortest mission in Halo 4.
Forerunner Fragfest (30000 XP): Complete Forerunner on Legendary difficulty with the Mythic, Tilt, Tough Luck and Thunderstorm skulls.
Another insane XP reward for another insane challenge. It’s possible to earn both of these at the same time (e.g. complete Forerunner on Legendary with the Mythic, Tilt, Storm, Tough Luck, and Thunderstorm skulls) but completing them individually is probably challenging enough. You can probably complete each individually faster than completing them both at the same time.
War Games Weekly Challenges
To Be Precise (20000 XP): Get 150 kills with a Precision Loadout Weapon.
If you’re any good at SWAT, that would be a good playlist to earn this challenge. Alternatively, Team Snipers would also be a viable option.
Removalist (10000 XP): Win 10 matchmaking Extraction matches.
Jump in the Extraction playlist and keep playing until you get there. This one is best earned with a group of friends since winning objective-based matches like this requires a lot of team work. Jumping in alone and letting the servers match you up randomly is a risk: you might wind up with an awesome team, or you might end up playing for hours without completing this challenge because your nimrod teammates are too busy running in circles to be bothered with the objective.
Spartan Ops Weekly Challenges
Shield Break! (10000 XP): Kill 50 Jackals.
Creeping ‘n Crawling (20000 XP): Kill 100 Crawlers.
These Spartan Ops Weekly Challenges are pretty straight forward. The easiest way to earn these is to boot up local games of Spartan Ops missions on Easy difficulty. Pick missions that have Covenant and Promethean enemies (respectively) and just keep playing until you get your numbers.
