November Video Game Pre-Orders: 2 More Weeks of Releases

The first half of November has been history-making in the video game industry.

• Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 broke sales records with over $775 million made in five days.
• Bethesda finally released another chapter in the Elder Scrolls series with Skyrim.
• The Xbox 360 version of the flagship Xbox title Halo: Combat Evolved was released.

This is certainly a tough couple of weeks for lesser-known titles to follow, but follow they must. Here are some of my pre-order picks (that is, you should buy these video games):

WWE ’12: Release Date 11/22/11

I haven’t played a professional wrestling game since WCW/nWo Revenge on Nintendo 64, but this one looks like fun. Available for Xbox 360, PS3, or Wii, WWE ’12 offers several new features to wrestling simulations. THQ has created a “Predatory Technology” gameplay system, making the gameplay even more “realistic” (as ironic as that may be), allowing gamers to perform “bone-crushing moves” and create their own custom superstars.

The King of Fighters XIII: Release Date 11/22/11

Another fighting game coming out next week is The King of Fighters XIII. Touted as “the biggest, best high-definition KOF game yet,” KOF XIII offers smooth, stable net functionality with global online play and tons of console-exclusive content, and is available for Xbox 360 and PS3.
