Talk of “cloud computing” and “cloud services” has been in the air for years, but (despite the remaining ambiguity in the minds of consumers) recent developments have garnered a little more of the consumer electronics limelight for this burgeoning technology. [Read more…]
Use Passwords Wisely to Increase Security

L.A. Noire: Unofficial Case Guides Now Available for Amazon Kindle
Encouraged by the amount of traffic my walkthroughs for L.A. Noire have been getting, I compiled, re-edited, and published my guides as an eBook, now available for $0.99 on the Amazon Kindle. The cover image (that I designed myself) is visible on the left there, and I have named the book L.A. Noire: Unofficial Case Guides.
The book is currently available exclusively from Amazon, but I am investigating other avenues to increase distribution. Don’t worry; I will keep you dedicated readers updated on my progress.
Please take the time to support us as you are cracking cases and racking up stars.

L.A. Noire Review
[Article first published as Xbox 360 Review: L.A. Noire on Blogcritics.]
Taking their cues from the film noir cinema style, Rockstar Games (creators of the hit Grand Theft Auto franchise) and Australian developers Team Bondi have partnered to create a captivating story in

Thoughts on the Duke Nukem Forever Demo
[Article first published as Thoughts on the Duke Nukem Forever Demo on Blogcritics.]
After more than a decade of promising and procrastination, Duke Nukem Forever, sequel to fan favorite Duke Nukem 3D, is finally nearing release. Fondly remembering the hours I spent playing Duke Nukem 3D as a youth, I eagerly pre-ordered DNF from Amazon, earning me a membership with Duke’s First Access Club and an Xbox Marketplace code for the demo. Path App for Android in Beta Testing
I got started on my Path after reading a wonderful introduction to this innovative photo-based social network on Wired.com. At the time, I was using an iPhone, and the user-friendly Path app made it easy to become familiar with the system; however, when I switched to my EVO, this was one of my apps that didn’t have an Android counterpart. Thankfully, this is soon to change.
In a serendipitous moment of Twitter bravery, I responded to a tweet by Path founder Dave Morin asking him if an Android version was yet in existence. Much to my delight, and surprise, I received a response from the official Path twitter account informing me of the upcoming beta testing program and that I would be welcome to join if interested.
A couple weeks after my affirmative response, I am now up and running with the beta version of Path for Android. Look forward to more updates on this development in the future, and in the meantime get started on your own Path.
